September 2nd, 1945

On November 1st of 1945 we were set out to do a full scale invasion of the Japanese island. Then on September 2nd I got a radio message about the Japanese surrendering. Only a couple of days before that we had dropped two atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The Emperor of Japan committed suicide which is the Japanese code which involves stabbing a Katana into your gut and twisting it around while its inside of you.

October 20, 1944

I'm overly excited today I'm finally fulfilling what I vowed to return to and that is the Philippines. As you can probably remember my post of the year in 1942 I had lost the islands to the Japanese Navy and Air Force and now the American Air Force is letting me to use there planes and ships to launch a full scale invasion on the Philippine islands. We attacked until the rainy season ended on the island which I should have known when it was after living on the Philippines for nearly a decade. After we seized the island and the rainy season ended, I made sure the engineers made strategic airfields as soon as possible.

March of 1943

I'm meeting with the Joint Chiefs of Staff today about the Operation Cartwheel which is aimed to attack a major Japanese base in Rabaul. We started of taking little islands of the coast to set up strategic bases. I originally started off with just Australian soldiers but soon American and British soldiers started showing up to the pacific theater. Soon we took over New Guinea.

April 1, 1942

I was absolutely ecstatic when I received my medal of honor for conspicuous leadership under heavy enemy attacks and also for protecting my family, my troops. My calls on what to do in a stressful situation played a part in me being awarded the medal of honor. I cant believe I was the first person to be awarded the medal of honor with a father that was awarded the medal of honor. I took the medal of honor with great gratitude and happiness. It gives me great joy to think back and put what I did to action one more time too.

December 8th 1941

I was sitting at my desk in Manila, Philippines when I found out that Japan attacked Pearl Harbor the Army Chief of Staff General George C. Marshall sent me a letter saying to get the Philippines ready for an attack from the Japanese. At this point I'm stressed right out so the immediate action I take is evacuate my family to Australia and get the air fields ready for an air, sea, and land assault. The Philippines are taken over quickly but I leave with one and final message I Shall Return. I was relocated to Melbourne, Australia ( an ally at the time) because President Roosevelt didn't want me to subject my self to danger.
